 2004 marks the beginning of the cost sharing arrangement between UNFPA and the Government. The selected priority areas of focus are HIV/AIDS, population ageing, gender based violence and south-south cooperation. These have been developed with national counterparts and with the approval of the Economic Planning Unit in Malaysia.
